Tracey + Dave {Innisfree Wedding Photographer} {Vegreville Wedding Photographer}

Tracey & Dave’s wedding was my second wedding I shot this year & took place on June 22, 2013. Lisa & I got to know Tracey & Dave earlier this year from shooting their Engagement session in Leduc. Although Tracey & Dave live in urban Leduc, their wedding took place in rural Alberta.

It was an early start to the day when Lisa & I drove out to the Bride’s parent’s farm near Beauvallon where the bride & bridesmaids got ready. Once they were ready, we headed to the United Church in Vegreville where the ceremony was held. It’s hard to believe I’ve lived in Vegreville all my life & have never been to this church before! After the beautiful ceremony, the bridal party & immediate family of the bride & groom followed us to a location just north of Vegreville where we took care of the family formals. Next, we headed back to the country (the bride’s grandparent’s farm) where we took the bulk of the wedding party & bride/groom photos. Finally after that, we headed to the Village of Innisfree where the reception was held – we did a lot of driving to say the least! We even managed to get a photo with the Cut Bank penguin statue – the Hollywood Film “Cut Bank” was filming in Innisfree!

I’ve been to Ukrainian weddings before but have never been the hired photographer to capture it. From the Ukrainian buffet, to the live Ukrainian band, to the baked korovai, to the apron dance; the reception was very traditional to say the least! Lisa & I had a great time at the Berry wedding which was definitely one we will both remember!

Thanks to Tracey & Dave for including us in your wedding & I hope these photos will bring back wonderful memories from your special day!
