Stephanie + Scott {Vegreville Wedding Photographer}

Two weeks before the Wowdzia wedding, I had booked a haircut with Stephanie (I needed all the burnt ends removed from an unfortunate incident with fire the week before) where we discussed the plans for her big day. I remember asking Stephanie what their plans were if it happened to rain during the ceremony (which was held outdoors at the Elks Park). I remember Stephanie’s stern response, “It’s not going to rain! The weather is going to be beautiful!”

Stephanie & Scott’s wedding was definitely one to remember! The morning of the wedding was cloudy but there wasn’t a drop to be seen (yet). As the bridal party was getting ready we kept looking outside to check the weather, crossing our fingers that it wouldn’t rain. The rain held out until halfway through the ceremony – then it began to mist. It was actually quite beautiful…right after they said their “I do’s” a subtle mist filled the air but could barely be felt on the skin.

As picturesque as it was, the mist turned to rain and it lasted long enough that we decided to skip the outdoor spot we scouted previously for their family photos. Luckily I had my studio lights where we setup some shots inside Stephanie & Scott’s beautiful home, desperately hoping the weather would turn. Determined to get some outdoor photos, we eventually decided to tough it out. As soon as we got to the location (the Chrapko’s farm – thanks so much to them for having all of us!), the rain stopped, the sun came out, & the weather was beautiful!

The reception was held at the Social Center which was beautifully decorated in crystal & sparkles – I’ve been to this venue dozens of times & have never seen it so elegantly decorated. Stephanie, Scott, & their attractive wedding party were a pleasure to work with which made our job that much easier. Stephanie & Scott make the perfect couple & I am so happy to have been part of their wedding day – thank you guys for everything! And thank you to Ryan for second-shooting for me!
