Amanda + Blair {Invermere Wedding Photographer}

Lisa & I have been great friends with Amanda & Blair since high school so we were ecstatic when asked to shoot their wedding in the heart of the Kootenay Mountains this past summer. Their wedding was held at one of the most spectacular resorts in Invermere…Copper Point Resort and golf course. The day started off pouring rain so unfortunately weren’t able to utilize the gorgeous outdoor patio which was planned for the ceremony. However, the back-up ceremony location was held in a cozy room at the resort with the gorgeous golf course and mountains as the backdrop. Amanda & Blair are huge animal lovers so it was fitting & super cute to include their furry friend, Kona, in the ceremony as the ring bearer. Luckily the rain let up enough after the ceremony to allow us to shoot the rest of the photos outdoors.

The bridesmaid’s white dresses were absolutely stunning & complemented Amanda’s gorgeous wedding dress. From the pink/orange bouquets, to the salmon-colored ties, this bridal party looked absolutely amazing! Mix that with a dose of spectacular mountainous scenery & you get the perfect opportunity to capture some amazing photos.

After we finished with the formal photos, Amanda realized she forgot to put on her veil! Although she was obviously disappointed, Amanda quickly grabbed her veil & we headed to the outdoor patio where the ceremony was originally going to be held & snapped some photos of the newlyweds. Veil or no veil, I assure you Amanda that you were a stunning bride on your wedding day!

The reception was impressively decorated by Mountain Bride who did an AMAZING job bringing the room to life. This was one of the most elegant receptions we’ve attended & the smaller group really helped to create a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You can tell from the photos how emotional the reception was. I must also add that I’ve never laughed so hard throughout the day…thanks for the laughs, Lowe Show!

We had an awesome time catching up with old friends, dancing the night away, & we thoroughly enjoyed capturing your mountain wedding. Enjoy!
