Dobush Family {Vegreville Family Photographer} {Vegreville Engagement Photographer}

It’s been a long time since my last post so I’m sharing this one of the Dobush family from this past winter. I used to play soccer with Jake, Lisa went to high school with him, and I’ve been curling in men’s league with Rick for the past decade (don’t laugh…curling is fun and physical!). Needless to say, Lisa and I have known the Dobush’s for many years…Jake has also hosted some great high school parties at the family farm which we returned to for their photo session (sorry if I ruined the secret)!

During the last Christmas break, the whole fam damily came back to the Dobush farm to spend the holidays together. Jake is living in Germany while Luke and Karla are spread throughout the province, so I could really appreciate their desire for family photos during this rare time together. We love shooting family sessions especially when it includes the significant others because then we get the best of shooting both family photos and couples photos; and in this case…engagement photos too! Jake proposed to his girlfriend, Linda, over the holidays and we had the opportunity to capture some of their very first photos as fiance and fiancee! Their son, Oskar, was adorable in his snow suit and made for some great photos as he posed so well with the whole family!

Holidays are for family and it was easy to see the joy in everyone’s eyes as they got to spend time together as one big family. Both my brother’s, their families, and my parents all live within blocks of each other in our small town which is both a curse and a blessing…haha! We sometimes take for granted being located so close to each other considering some families are spread throughout the province and even the world! Regardless of where you live, it’s important to cherish the moments you spend with family and what better way to treasure these memories than having photos taken.
