Lisa & I first met Peter & Christina less than a year ago at Ryan & Alison’s wedding, where Christina & I were both in their wedding parties. Not long after Ryan & Alison’s wedding, Peter & Christina booked me to photograph their wedding which took place on March 23, 2013.
The Pilarski’s wedding was absolutely beautiful! This was my third time to lovely Canmore but my first time shooting a wedding there. The ceremony was held at the historic & modest Ralph Connor Memorial United Church in downtown Canmore. This was the smallest church I’ve ever photographed in (which was a bit challenging to maneuver around in to say the least) but the images turned out great! After the ceremony, we headed (the bride & groom were chauffeured in a classy 1952 Bentley by Highland Executive Chauffeur) to a gorgeous location along the Bow River that Lisa & I scouted out the day before. Here, we photographed the bride & groom with their families. After that, we headed to another quiet location along a creek in Canmore (sometimes I wish I lived in Canmore because of all these beautiful locations!). The family & bridal party were staying at the Bear & Bison Inn where we snapped a few more photos of the bride & groom before heading to the reception venue at the elegant Silvertip Resort. This was probably one of the nicest reception venues I’ve ever shot at & also one of the most fun weddings to shoot. I especially enjoyed the memorable “Gangnam Style” dance which capped off the night!
Peter & Christina’s love for one another is raw & life-lasting. Thanks again, Peter & Christina, for having Lisa & I capture your special day & I sincerely wish you guys the best in your lives as husband & wife!
